PureGuardTGetter Weld Argon Purification Systems

Pure Performance for Purifying Argon
For the highest quality welds, rely on Johnson Matthey's PureGuard Getter Weld Argon Purification Systems. These heated getter purifier systems are designed to deliver high purity argon critical for the manufacture of high quality, oxidation-free welds. Johnson Matthey combines purification and filtration technology in one system to ensure maximum gas quality.

PureGuard Getter Weld Argon Purification Systems use the highest quality non-evaporable, zirconium-based getter materials, which deliver argon with sub-ppb impurity levels. Also, heated operation allows for use of the entire volume of the getter material resulting in extremely high capacities to adsorb not only all oxygen bearing species, but all impurities - H2O, O2, CO, N2, CO2 and THC (including H4).

The simply designed system utilizes a PID temperature controller and redundant over-temperature controller. A temperature alarm alerts the operator to any high or low temperatures and automatically shuts down the unit. However, due to the unique properties of zirconium based getter, all oxygen bearing impurities will continue to be removed long after the purifier has cooled to room temperature.

The PureGuard Getter Weld Argon System offers the capability to maintain maximum gas purity at low, high and transient flow rates. Johnson Matthey offers standard units - 5kg, 10kg and 20kg - which meet most specified flow rates and pressure drops. And if there isn't a standard unit in our line to meet your needs, Johnson Matthey will custom-engineer a unit for you.

Not only do PureGuard Getter Weld Argon Systems fit your application needs, they fit your installation demands as well. Designed with a small footprint, these units require very little real estate in your facility, enabling you to conserve valuable floor space.
